So the “Default Programs” and “Devices” are just specific pages in the system Settings but I still don’t understand why the icons need ho use the blue background color. People are probably aware and used to that plenty of 3rd party software don’t handle well multi display setup with different DPI’s. The sad part is that not even the controls accessible via taskbar on Windows 10 are rendered properly. Here’s idea: Make the tooltip position in taskbar (on Windows 10) consistent. Ok, so maybe the “Network” and “Volume” are behaving differently because they can be collapsed among other hidden icons, but really? That’s the reason? The latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build brings (amongst other things) less colourful icons – more white. The Windows Explorer and Windows Defender applications are now represented by mostly white colored icons.
