PayPal and their completely useless monthly emails 1

Every month PayPal sends email instructing me to view my recent transactions. There’s Log In Now button that takes me to the PayPal (video playing) homepage.

It’s no scam, the email is genuine, it really comes from PayPal. Unfortunately there are no options to turn of these emails.

paypal-notifications

I tried contacting PayPal few times in the past. I always got confirmation email informing me they will reply within the next 24 hours and that was it, no further message. I guess it’s probably because it’s “handled” by the European branch.

One thought on “PayPal and their completely useless monthly emails

I can totally sympathize. It’s like if mobile companies sent you a daily text reminding you to pick up your phone to see if anyone has called, just completely redundant – It doesn’t even appear to benefit paypal in any way. Perhaps some bright spark in the marketing department was like “Well you know, we want our customers to know we care and that we’re there for them; how about a monthly email? Some study done at some university of other showed a 0.1% increase in customer retention. I LIKE THOSE NUMBERS!”
